课程介绍:汕头大学法学院“长江谈判技巧及争议解决中心”特别邀请David Sandborg教授开设本课程。该课程除介绍有关争议解决的基本理论外,还会通过互助和小班的教学,以及分组个案研习的形式授课,目的是培养学生处理争议的技巧和相关理论。

附件二:长江谈判技巧及争议解决中心简介
得到李嘉诚基金会和花旗集团﹝Citigroup﹞的支持,汕头大学法学院在2005年11月成立〝长江谈判技巧及争议解决中心〞﹝简称〝长江中心〞﹞。〝长江中心〞的宗旨是:推广教育和跨专业合作,提升谈判和争议解决的认识和实行,同时顾及不同文化背景的差异;研究有关另类争议解决制度的发展,以及该制度在不同行业、文化和社区中的实行情况:及发展教材和资源,配合谈判技巧和争议解决的发展。
附件三:David Sandborg 教授简历
Professor David Sandborg is a Chartered Arbitrator and Fellow of the London-based Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and former Chairman of the Professional Development Committee of its East Asian branch headquartered in Hong Kong. He is also a Fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Arbitrators.
He is currently the Director of Dispute Resolution Studies and Programmes at the School of Law, City University of Hong Kong, where, for the past eight years, he has directed the Master’s degree program in Arbitration and Dispute Resolution. He teaches a variety of dispute resolution courses including negotiation and mediation, arbitration law and practice, and international arbitration. He has also taught arbitration and dispute resolution at leading universities in China, Australia, the United States and other countries.
Professor Sandborg has over 30 years experience in domestic and international arbitration, as both advocate and arbitrator, and is on the arbitration panels in different countries, including China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (China), HKIAC (Hong Kong), World Intellectual Property Organization (Geneva), Kuala Lumpur Regional Arbitration Centre, Australian Centre for International Commercial Arbitration and the Singapore International Arbitration Centre.
He is on the Panel of Mediators of the newly-established US-China Business Mediation Center in Beijing, a joint project of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (Beijing) and CPR Institute for Dispute Resolution (New York).
He is a graduate of Dartmouth and Stanford Law School. He also studied mediation and negotiation at Harvard Law School and mediation at the World Intellectual Property Organization. He has been admitted to practice as solicitor in Hong Kong and as Attorney-at-Law in the State of California in the United States.
