Dr. Qiu earned her LLB, LLM and PhD degrees at Xiamen University. During 2007-2008 and 2009-2010, she was based at the International Tax Center of Leiden University to pursue study on international taxation and she acquired her second LLM degree whilst at Leiden. During her stay in the Netherlands, she worked as an intern at Ernst & Young engaging in the Chinese business tax service. From 2011, she served as Assistant Professor at the Law School of Xiamen University where she taught courses including International Tax Law and Chinese Property Law. She commenced her appointment at the Law Faculty as a Post-Doctoral Fellow at Hong Kong University from July 2013. Her main research interests are Chinese taxation and international tax law. She has published a monograph and more than twenty articles in both English and Chinese in leading tax journals, such as British Tax Review, The Bulletin for International Taxation, Tax Notes International, International Taxation, etc.
