PROFESSIONAL POSITION
Currently affiliated with the school of law, Xiamen University. Courses taught include international law, international economic law and legal English.
RESEARCH INTERESTS
International Water Law, with a focus on the legal challenges facing China over its transboundary waters and the legal framework governing the intricate and complex inter-riparians relationship between China and its neighbours.
PHD PROJECT
Thesis: Exploring the Communicative Dimension of International Law-With a Special Focus on the Normativity of International Water Law. This research, set against the background of increasing number of issues of global concern, aims to reconceptualise the normativity of international law, especially in the field of international water law, through a communicative framework, a framework formulated by drawing insights both from literatures of public international law and philosophy and social theory.
CURRENT PROJECT
National security, China and International law. This research project aims to examine the amended Law of National Security of China, and devise a theoretical framework for analyzing the relationship between national security and international law and its place in China’s peaceful rise.
