Professor Xiao works in the fields of International Trade Law, Securities Law and Contract Law, teaching Chinese Contract Law, International Trade Law, Securities Law and Legal Practice Skills. He has published over 30 articles and more than 20 books in his research areas. His works has won him prizes from China Ministry of Commerce in 2006 and 2010, from China Securities Regulatory Commission in 2012 and from Fujian Province Government twice in 2006. He now is chairman of Fujian Society of Economic Law, vice-chairman of Fujian Society of International Economic Law, Council member of China Society of WTO Law, Council member of China Society of Securities Law. He also serves as an arbitrator with Egypt Cairo International Arbitration Commission, Xiamen Arbitration Commission and Quanzhou Arbitration Commission. He served as an arbitrator with CIETAC from 2009 to 2012. He is also a part-time lawyer of Fujian Yinhe Law Office and vice president of Fujian Province Association of In-house Counsel. He holds the posts of independent director of some Chinese and foreign listed corporations. Professor Xiao was a visiting scholar at UIUC Law School in 2009-2010.
