Professor YU graduated from Northwest University of Politics & Law (L.L.B.) and Xiamen University (PH.D in Private International Law). She works in the field of Private international Law, Interregional Conflict of Laws, Hong Kong Law, specializing in Chinese Private International Law and Cross-Strait Conflict of Laws, teaching Private International Law, Interregional Conflict of Laws, Introduction of Hong Kong Law. She published many articles and books in her research area. She now is standing council member of Chinese Society of Private International Law. She also serves as an arbitrator with the Quanzhou Arbitration Commission. Professor Yu was a visiting scholar at Nottingham University Law School in 2008-2009, High-Level Research scholar at Wisconsin University (Madison) Law School in 2014.8-2015.2 and a visiting professor in Taiwan Culture University Law School from April to June in 2011.
