On June 23th, Dean Xu Chongli met with Li Yuan, Dean of Korea Legislation Research Institute and signed the Memorandum of Cooperation between the two sides. Vice-Dean Zhu Yansheng, Assistant Professor Mao Haidong from School of Law, Xiamen University and Research Fellow Doctor Lee Ki-Pyeong and Doctor Kim Hyung-Gun also attended the meeting.
Dean Xu extended warm welcome to KLRI on behalf of XMU law school and then introduced the history, faculty and students’ number, international cooperation and other information of our school. He emphasized the importance of the academic exchange with research institutes of Korea and hoped the signing of MOU will promote more scholars and experts in Korea to visit in Xiamen and provide a high level platform for academic cooperation in the legal field.
Dean Li Yuan extended sincere gratitude to XMU law school for the warm reception. He gave a brief introduction of the organization structure, main research field and the international cooperation of KLRI. He said XMU law school was the first university which KLRI established cooperation ties with in the south of China and our cooperation in the future was critical to the research of the legal system and legal education in both Korea and China.
At the end of the meeting, Dean Xu Chongli and Dean Li Yuan signed the Memorandum of Cooperation between the School of Law, Xiamen University and Korea Legislation Research Institute on behalf of each side and took a group photo together.
