On the morning of July 6th, the Conference on Innovation and Communications Law held by Intellectual Property Research Institute was opened in Science and Arts Center, Xiamen University. Vice-President Gu Daguang of Xiamen University, Prof. Tana Pistorius from South Africa University, Prof. Peter Yu from Texas A&M University, Huang Congzhen, Judge of Fujian Higher People's Court and Li Zhiyong, Chairman of the School Council of Xiamen University Law School were present at the opening ceremony and gave speeches separately. Prof. Lin Xiuqin, the dean of Intellecual Property Research Institute hosted the ceremony.
The conference officially started after the opening ceremony, divided by two phases: "communication technology and IP", and "domain name, big data and IP".
The conference will last for two days.
