Visit of Prof. Jordan Budd, Dean of UNH LawSchool

On April 27th, Professor Jordan Budd, Dean of UNH (University of New Hampshire) Law School, met with Associate Dean Prof. Zhu Yansheng and Assistant Professor Dong Huijuan in 419 meeting room of School of Law, Xiamen University.

NUH, founded in 1866 in America, is a world-renowned comprehensive public university and also the largest state university in New Hampshire. Its law school ranks top 100 and its Franklin Pierce Law Center of Intellectual Property stays top 10 in America for 2 decades.

Professor Zhu extended warm welcome to Dean Jordan Budd on behalf of XMU law school and then introduced the general information of our school. He emphasized the importance of international academic exchange and cooperation and thus the necessity to build a lasting and mutually beneficial relationship regarding academic research, faculty and students.

Assistant Professor Dong Huijuan expressed gratitude for Dean Budd’s visit on behalf of Intellectual Property Research Institute of XMU, gave a brief introduction of IPRI and extended warm invitation to students of UNH to attend the 2015 IP summer school to be held in July. She also talked about the pioneering program of dual degree in engineering and intellectual property.

Dean Budd provided detailed information of its LL.M. and JD program, including the admissions, courses and other valuableinformation.

Preliminary consensus was concluded at the meeting on both sides. MOU will be drafted and signed in later communication for the cooperation in the future.
