On the afternoon of September 14, ORIENTATION MEETING of international students in the year of 2017 was organized by School of Law, Xiamen University. Vice Dean Professor Lin Xiuqin, students counselor Mr. Gaobin, students counselor Ms. Song Leihua, international coordinator Ms. Dong Xiaoqing and all the new international students attended the meeting.
This autumn we welcomed 33 international students from 15 countries such as America, Germany, New Zealand, Bangladesh, Ghana, and Mongolia. They officially started their study and life in Xiamen University. They cover undergraduate, master and doctor candidates, as well as exchange students from our partner universities such as Milan University, Maastricht University and Bonn University.
At the orientation meeting, Vice Dean Professor Lin Xiuqin firstly introduced the history and profile of Xiamen University and the Law School, and her expectations to the new students. Ms. Song Leihua explained the daily administration and scholarship. Ms. Dong Xiaoqing introduced the curriculum and teaching method of the international master program. Also the senior student representatives from the international students union attended the meeting to share their experience in study and life.
The students made personal introduction of themselves, watched the video of Xiamen University and learned how to sing the university song. After that, all the attendees took the group picture.
Ms. Dong Xiaoqing accompanied the new students to tour in the campus and guided the courses registration.
