On June 1 to 2 2017, the Founding Conference of Mainland-Hong Kong-Macau Legal Education Alliance was held in Beijing.
Over 80 school authorities, law school leaders, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao Affairs directors, experts and professors from 16 Chinese law-education-leading universities attended the meeting. Dean Professor Song Fangqing was invited to the event.
Mainland- Hong Kong- Macau Legal Education Alliance is jointly organized by the China University of Political Science and Law, Chinese University of Hong Kong, and the University of Macau. The Alliance will promote the exchange and cooperation within Mainland, Hong Kong and Macau, whose members will share the idea, experience, and high-quality resources of legal education. Moreover, the Alliance will adhere to the "Educate in Law and Morality" concept, builds the system to train innovative legal professionals and educates a number of political talent that are not only comprehensive in domestic law practice but also with international vision. Dean Professor Song Fangqing was Comments-Guest in the main forum.
The Assembly has made fruitful results: the adoption of the Alliance Charter of Law Education in Mainland and Hong Kong and Macao witnessed the first 16 governing members. They are Peking University, Tsinghua University, Renmin University of China, China University of Political Science and Law, Fudan University, Xiamen University, Wuhan University, Sun Yet-Sun University, Jinan University, East China University of Political Science and Law, Shenzhen University, Hong Kong University, Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Shu Yan University, Macau University, Macau University of Science and Technology. The Alliance will make contributions to promote the rule of law and building a country, a government and a society ruled by law And join hands to open a new chapter in the education of legal professionals for mainland, HK and Macau in the spirit of the alliance of cooperation, mutual respect and win-win.
