On the morning of March 15, Mr. Pat Power, the deputy director of marketing and student recruitment and Mr. Zhang Jianchao from Queen Mary University of London visited Xiamen University Law School for the details talking of the agreement implementation and the programme promotion to the students in law and materials. Vice Dean Zhu Yansheng welcomed the guests in Room 419.
Vice Dean Zhu Yansheng firstly introduced the history of the school, its disciplines and international cooperation. He then introduced the academic programmes taught in English in our school, including 3 international master programme, PhD programme in international law and 4 summer programmes. He also expressed the willingness to explore collaboration in terms of co-research and faculty exchange.
Mr. Power gave an overview of QMUL and its law school as well as its cooperation ties with universities in China. He paid great interest in the summer programmes which are oriented to the international students and hoped to strengthen cooperation regarding short-term students exchange.
QMUL’s Vice President Morag Shiach visited our school in 2015. Its law professors have had frequent contacts in terms of research and teaching. The agreement between two sides of “1+1+1” and “4+1” programme have finally been confirmed and under approval process of the university.
