International economic law is a very important area in law subjects. On Saturday morning, Mr. Fangdomg shared his views with students from Trier university.
In this globalization year, no country could develop without communicating and doing business with other countries, China included. With the booming commercial intercourse, some problems naturally appear as different countries have different national reality and standards.
Mr. Fang explained labor standards and agriculture disputes in detail to illustrate some tough legal matters during transactions as well as China and the WTO Dispute Settlement system. He also chose a specific article from Copyright Law of China to show a controversial point among China and other countries. Students put forward many interesting questions and the atmosphere was really active.
On the afternoon September 24,with Ms.Dong’s help,Trier chinese law summer campers of Xiamen University law school visited the Sphere law firm and the partner Zeng as well as the partner Xv treated us friendly and warmly.
Both Mr. Zeng and Mr. Xv are excellent attorneys who know a lot about the foreign law services.Our campers were very interested in the experience shared by the attorneys and discussed with them excitedly.First,Mr.Zeng and Mr.Xv shared their study experiences and the way how they became the excellent attorneys.In the meantime,they introduced the development environment of law services in China.What’s more,Mr. Zeng introduced what kind of work the lawyers mainly do in China.Finally,Mr.Xv illustrated the international law services and IP services that he was in charge of .
After that, the campers asked some questions about the lawyers’ career life and the conditions that needed to be satisfied if we wanted to set up a law firm in China.The lawyers answered these questions patiently.Then,Mr.Xv showed the campers around the law firm.
After this visit to the Sphere law firm,the campers have got to know how the lawyers work in China and realize the real work situations and atmosphere in the law firm.It can not only deepen the campers’ understanding of the law practice in China,but also promote the cooperation between China and Germany in the law field.
